A large waste tank is built into the frame structure of the portable restroom trailer. Normally, all toilets and sinks are directly above the waste tank of portable restroom trailers. They are drained directly into the waste tank. A 3” dump valve is installed on the towing end of the portable restroom trailer to allow a pumper truck to pump the waste. Rich Specialty portable restroom trailers have standard toilets that are low flush and use a foot pedal to allow water into the bowl and then to open the ball at bottom of bowl for waste to exit into the waste tank of the portable restroom trailer.
Helpful hint for operating toilets in Rich Specialty Portable Restroom Trailers- For use of toilet when solids are to be deposited into the bowl first push toilet foot pedal about half way to floor which will allow water into the bowl. After the bowl is used the foot pedal should then pushed to the floor to open bottom of toilet into waste tank. Before using Rich Specialty Portable Restroom Trailers, add approximately ½” of water to waste tank in order to allow solids to begin to break up in the waste tank.
The sinks installed in Rich Specialty Portable Restroom Trailers come standard with water conserving faucets. The sinks operate by pushing down to open the top valve. The valve is set to shut off after approximately 10 seconds of use. Portable Restroom Trailer faucets can be adjusted to lengthen or shorten their on/off cycle with a set screw under the top valve cover.
